As these thoughts begin to circulate in our minds, we often tend to find ourselves in distress. Those feelings are not pleasant and can take a toll on our emotions before we can realise it.

If you think about it, you don’t get such thoughts when everything is going according to your plan. You never feel down or reconsider your choices in life.

Well, that’s because we as humans, tend to latch on to bad memories in our minds. This brings us to take notice of small problems in life that weren’t as irritating when everything was going effortlessly.

When everything is going according to your plan, you don’t question the negative circumstances, you just go for it. That’s because deep down, your soul knows that you’re on the right path and you are aware that things will work out in the end.

However, what are the signs which truly indicate whether we are on the right path in life?

Sign 1 — Everything Just Feels Right

When you are on the right path in life, you may notice that everything you work for slips right in its place. Your school or work just feels right, you know that your goals are in your grasp and you will accomplish them no matter what.

Being on the right course in life awards you with a peaceful mind. You become excited about your motives in life, and you want to invest yourself in working towards it.

Similarly, you feel as if the universe is helping you and wants you to succeed. You meet people that are just like you, they share the same interest as yours and are happy to be around you. They seem to support your ideas and assist you in becoming the ”best version of yourself”.

Sign 2 — You Don’t Allow Hurdles To Slow You Down

When you are walking towards the right path in life, you care less about the uncertainties in the future. You don’t let those negative thoughts put you down from accomplishing your goals.

As mentioned before, we as humans tend to spend more of our time thinking about the negative aspects of life. Worrying like that may not attain anything but weaken us down.

As per the saying, ”Life Happens”, which is a fancy way of saying that sometimes hurdles do come in our way but what matters is how we deal with them.

When such difficult times do arise in your life, you will attempt to creatively overcome them or work around them.

Imagine living in a world with no problems, you would find yourself not determined to achieve anything. Nothing to do and no challenges to beat.

That world will quickly feel stagnant because you’re going nowhere.

So, when you feel down, realise that these obstacles you come across are built to make you stronger than ever. It’s the universe’s way of sculpting you into an amazing being.

Sign 3 — You Are Keen in Your Goals

When you are cruising down the right track in life, you realise how much you are excited to reach your goals. Regardless of how challenging your tasks can become, you are eagerly waiting for the rewarding results.

You feel proud when you see yourself in the mirror. You begin to love yourself and every little thing about you. You know your goals are within your grasp and you will eventually get there like an absolute boss.

Every morning, you wake up eagerly looking forward to getting back to polishing your goals a step further. This is a clear indication that you’re transparent about your goals and truly love what you’re doing.

With this victorious mindset, you can accomplish anything you’ve ever wanted. Don’t let anything or anyone slow you down. You know the sole purpose of your goals and you’re going to accomplish them no matter what.

Sign 4 — You Lose Track of Time

When you’re striding down the right path in life, you realise you have become adhered to your work, and you truly enjoy it rather than dragging your mind and body along to work.

More than often, working can still be a tiring task, either liked doing it or not, so on days, when you’re stressed as hell and you’ve been working your butt off, you realise that, although you’re physically tired, you feel mentally fulfilled and energised.

Working hard doesn’t feel hard but rather addicting and energising. It feels as if your inner-self is connected to the universe and is satisfied after extended hours of the stint.

Sometimes, we feel inadequate for our work title or goals we are thriving for. This feeling of inadequacy paired with the dread of the uncertain transitions in our own decisions can be overwhelming with unpleasant feelings and can put us down.

However, think of it this way; You’re stepping on to an unfamiliar territory, out of your comfort zone, you realise that it will be challenging and obstacles will come in your journey. But know that these challenges will teach you the skills you need to succeed.

Sign 5 — You Don’t Live By Society’s Standards

When you’re on the right path in life, you realise that the right people at the right time will come to you, those who support you and enjoy your company, and want you to succeed.

On the contrary, you will notice that the wrong people will shred from your circle and choose a separate path. The ones you never felt comfortable around with, of course.

You no longer live your life vicariously through others. You don’t care what example society sets off of you. You do what your intuition tells you to do.

You live your life without worrying too much about other’s approval or criticism. You have nothing to hide and your words are as transparent as your soul.

You don’t live by society’s standards of a perfect human being. You live by what feels rewarding for you and your soul and don’t live by the rules of life pictured by the world.

You don’t wait for the ”right time” to magically appear and asks you to follow it. But rather by taking charge of your destiny and accepting your fate by realising that nothing will happen unless you make it happen.

Sign 6 — You Know that You Are Strong

When you are moving on the right path in life, you begin to realise how strong and powerful you have become after all these years of grinding for your goals.

What seemed like a constant uphill battle that you never imagined to conquer.

But one day look back and realise how far you have come, how many hurdles came in the way that tried to stop you but you didn’t give in, you kept pushing forward and as a result of that, you have transformed into something much more.

You realise that your battle scars now define your journey through the tough terrains in life. You love your scars, and you know that they describe who you are! A person with immense power to overcome these problems.

And you will continue to reinforce your skills to seize what’s yours.

Sign 7 — You Don’t Envy Others

We as humans tend to compare ourselves to others. This often leads us to fruitless returns. The energy we waste visualising ourselves in other’s boots can be overwhelming with grief and sadness.

Whether be it, someone, you see on social media living lavishly and bragging about their extravagant purchases or someone who becomes an overnight success because of their appearance.

Jealousy comes in all shapes and sizes, but what matters greatly is that you don’t succumb to it by endangering your emotions and mental health.

You need to count your blessings. Be grateful for the gifts you have in life. Most people wouldn’t have what you have and they probably dream of having a life like yours.

When you’re successful and house a healthy mindset that doesn’t get affected by jealously. Then, my friend, you DO know that you’re going along the right lines in life.

Celebrate your success and of others. Don’t focus too much on trivial things. They are not worth your time and energy. Support good cause for others who don’t have it. Do good for others and help those in need, you may find your inner-self much more content than ever.

You know that you’re on the right track, when you let these envious feelings don’t take a toll on you. You do good deeds for others to have a sense of satisfaction.

“Don’t compare yourself to anyone in this world. If you do so, you are insulting yourself.”

Bill Gates

Conclusion

So, back to the question of whether you’re on the right path in life — or not?

If all these signs didn’t tick your box, then know that we aren’t good at everything every day.

Sometimes we are just beginning our journey or coming off a terrible incident. Those things can temporarily impede our performance and belief in our strength. And that is okay!

The key is to stay consistent and adhered to your goals. If you feel like you’re mentally and physically tired, take your rest and let a good night’s sleep fix that for you.

If something doesn’t feel right, talk about it to someone, write it down. That will ease up your mind.

Taking small steps towards your goals is BETTER than taking none at all.

We all have the potential to do something within us. We just have to start somewhere.

Opportunities are all around you, you just have to be vigilant and seize them.
